Skateboard shelves {how-to}

My 10 year old is totally obsessed with skateboards and has requested a whole skateboard themed bedroom.  But not a perfect one!  He told me hates how I paint everything until it's perfect.  Uh okay?  So there will be no painting of all his authentically thrashed up stuff!

Skateboard shelves seemed like a good place to start.  Especially since we already had a few retired skateboards in the garage.

I bought 4 of these brackets at Home Depot.  They were back by the shelving stuff and were about $5 each.  I like that they aren't that noticeable under the skateboards.

Now he has the perfect place to show off all his special treasures.

Brook-

This is so clever. It's 4th/5th grade boy edgy. Going to pin it as well.

If you have a moment today, please share this with my readers @Creative Juice Thursday Hope to see you there!

I'm so excited to see this! I have a 10 year old that love skateboarding and I have been wanting to hang a couple of skateboards as shelves but I didn't know how to hang them. This is perfect! Thank you! Visiting from Shabby Creek Cottage link party.

What a great idea! I have to re-do my 11 yr old's room very soon. The old outer space theme has worn out its welcome :)

LOVE these. Awesome awesome. Good work! My now 7yr old got a skateboard last Christmas and I thought that we'd be doing his room over in a skate theme. I was so excited for it....however, his love of snakes won out. Maybe I'll still be able to do skateboard shelves someday!

Love it. My daughter is getting her first skateboard for Xmas, she is 8 but imagine she will have few over the years. What a great way to keep the memories without cluttering up a closet in my small 1 nYC bedroom.

PS I pinned and stumbled this post.
