Lego Minifig Storage {organizing}

Monday / 22 comments
Do you have lego storage problem? With three boys we have a zillion legos! My 6 year old is obsessed with the little lego minifigs and he likes to be able to see them at all times. No putting the little men in a storage bin in the closet.

So I hung them on his wall right as his level so he can play with them and the little guys can be decorations too!  Yes someday I will finish his gallery wall and put pictures of people we know in the picture frames!

The minifig display started as a golf display case. I found it at Goodwill for $3!

I took off the back and covered the green felt with black fabric and spray painted the wood with Krylon Dual Duel in White Satin.

Then I just stapled the back piece back on and flipped the whole thing over so that the little golf ball resting spots were on the underside. Then the minifigs had a flat place to stand.

Love! Even better my little guy thinks it's "so awesome!". He rearranges the guys everyday.

Where do your lego guys live?

  1. Brook great makeover and even better idea, someone likes their toys organized! You must have one patient son to set up all those figurines but the effect is perfect and even better for $5. Nice work.

  9. This is brilliant! We have the same problem at the Jedi Manor... That boy of ours is crazy-nuts about Legos, and the Star Wars variety brings him endless joy. But he always wants to have his mini figures OUT -- and by OUT, I mean scattered all over the house, or stuffed into the pockets of his jeans, where they are in extreme danger of drowning in the washing machine if I don't do a Search and Rescue to the pockets before every load of laundry. I think an idea like this may just solve all of our problems! Now... I just have to discover a golf display case that costs $3 at a Goodwill store! Thanks for sharing this idea with everyone.

  10. That IS so awesome! Our minifigs currently live on the floor where mommy can step on them each and every day. I'd love to do something like this for my boys!

  11. I love this. My boys store all their pieces to their LEGO men in small tackle boxes, and it works well. However, I'm pinning this for future reference. THanks!
