Stripe Top Benches (Boy and Girl Shared Bedroom)

Today I'm sharing how I built these cute little benches for my kid's bedroom.  Of course they came from an easy to follow Ana-White plan.

The hardest part about the benches was cutting the angles for the sides and bottom and even that was pretty simple.  Both benches were built in a few hours.  I attached the bottom with kreg jig pocket holes and screws.

Nails and some wood glue for the sides.

And then some nails and wood glue to attach the top boards!

I stained the benches with Minwax Walnut stain and then distressed them using vaseline.  A super detailed tutorial will be on Ana-White this month.

I love how the benches are the same yet different enough to give each kid some personalization.

The boy side.

The "You are So Loved" print is from Katie Daisy's shop The Wheatfield and was the inspiration for the colors in the room.

The headboards are both from the Ana-White Reclaimed headboard plan.  Same as my older son's.  Stained with Minwax Special Walnut.

Love how their bedroom turned out.
