I'm back to sewing ruffles again. I know I swore I would never ruffle again after how long the ruffled curtains took but I really wanted a ruffly bedskirt to match the curtains. So I bought two twin flat sheet from Walmart for $5 each and set to work.

I'm so excited to show you all the sign I built for my front porch! When I showed you the easy cedar planters I built I told you about how my porch has a window on one side of the door and then just a big empty spot on the other side. I got a lot of great ideas from all of you and in the end decided to build a sign because it was a quick and cheap fix. Plus when we move next year I can take it with me. I'm going to show you how to build one too! You could put whatever letters or sayings you want on it but I chose "Hello". Because welcome was too long and "Go Away" seemed rude.

I have a thing for containers. Anyone else with me? Just something so full of potential and future promise that I'm going to finally get organized! I've been working on my son's dinosaur bedroom and needed a spot for his special somethings when it was time for bed. So I built a mini crate for his bionicles and one for his various treasures! They were super easy and inexpensive and I am going to show you how to make one too!

I've seen some really cool floors and countertops around the internet made out of pennies! It looked like such a fun project that I thought I'd give it a try on something MUCH smaller than a counter or floor. So I introduce you to my new penny tray.

I've been hard at work on my front porch. It's looked a little sad and forgotten since we moved in and not very welcoming. I made some little planters for by the front door. I also wanted to spruce up our little seating area. So much more welcoming now.

It's been nice and sunny this week so I've been spending a ton of time working outside trying to spruce up my porch. I know my neighbors are thinking "Oh the crazy spray paint lady is at it again!" In between spray painting sessions I built some square planters for my front porch using Ana White plans.

I made a fun little wall letter for my daughter's bedroom. It was super simple and cost just a few dollars in supplies.
