Office fabric dresser...

Remember the corner dresser/bookshelf in the office?

We got rid of the bottom part to make room for my new corner desk but I still wanted the shelf part.  So now I have this!  I painted the back of it Sea salt by Sherwin Williams to match the walls.  Love!

Don't know why I didn't think to do this before.  Touched up all the paint (where a really sweet two year old has colored) and now it's like having a new piece of furniture.  This dresser was previously hideous and even had gold detailing.  Yuck!  I primed it with Glidden gripper primer and then followed it up with Glidden antique white in satin.  The details of the original redo are here.

  1. hi! just coming over from tt&j and what a cool blog you have! i noticed the serger you have on your sewing table? what's your opinion of it? i'm thinking about buying one and that's the exact one i was looking into :) thanks for sharing such great projects!

  2. Gorgeous! Glad you saved the shelf part, it looks great. The painted dresser is so pretty. Can I come and browse your library? Wow, I am writing down some of those titles. Library, here I come!

  3. I love the sea salt color! I also love that I am now so comfortable painting furniture since I have three children and lots of colored on furniture too. FABULOUS job! I would be delighted if you would link this to my party today!
